Corporal Marc T. Ryan, USMC is Brother Dan Harkins' brother in law, who was Killed in Action on

November 15, 2004 during Operation Iraqi Freedom in Ramadi, Al Anbar Province, Iraq.

Here is the description of the event found online;

Marc was a Gloucester resident who was killed in action in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom on

November 15, 2004. The objective of the event is to keep Marc's memory alive and to raise money for

Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation which provides scholarship bonds to the children of Marines

and Federal Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty.

The Run is a USATF Certified Course and will be professionally timed. The Run starts at 9am with a

tribute to Cpl. Ryan and Awards Presentation at 10am followed by food and beverages for registrants.

Checks can be made payable to MC-LEF. On the memo line please include Cpl. Ryan 5K Run. Donations
